Field Appraiser - Large Loss - Remote

Overview

As a Property Large Loss Field Appraiser, you will be responsible for meeting in-person with the policyholder at their home to investigate, assess and facilitate remediation and repair decisions on severe and complex residential property damage claims.

In Short

• Provide superior customer service to policyholders while working autonomously in the field.
• Communicate daily with customers to schedule inspections and assist them through the repair process.
• Assess damages and complete Xactimate estimates.
• Negotiate agreements on scope and cost of repairs.
• Document activity and secure claim information within the claims system.
• Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations.
• Travel within California and occasionally out of state.
• Work independently with minimal management oversight.
• Possess excellent time-management skills.
• Foster a culture of belonging and improvement within the organization.

Requirements

• Travel flexibility covering the entire state of California.
• College degree or prior applicable work experience required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Current adjuster license in Texas, Florida, or Connecticut is a plus.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Xactimate/Xactanalysis proficiency.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to make timely and accurate decisions.
• Large loss adjusting/appraising experience (minimum of 3 years).
