Overview

Ultragenyx is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician leader to join the Global Medical Affairs team focused on the rare bone disease franchise. The leader will be focused on the OI program, as well as Crysvita for XLH.

In Short

• Lead the Global Medical Affairs team for rare bone diseases.
• Focus on Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Crysvita programs.
• Establish partnerships with key opinion leaders.
• Participate in scientific advisory boards and investigator meetings.
• Lead data generation and publication activities.
• Provide strategic medical expertise to program teams.
• Engage with the rare bone physician community.
• Stay updated on developments in rare bone disease therapies.
• Travel up to 25% for meetings and engagements.
• Remote work model with occasional travel.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD), PhD preferred, with Board Certification.
• Expertise in rare metabolic bone disorders.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• 10 years of academic/faculty experience.
• Established network in rare disease communities.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
