Global Medical Director, FSHD - Remote

Overview

Avidity Biosciences is searching for a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Global Medical Director to lead our FSHD program. This individual will develop and implement the strategic/tactical medical plan for the FSHD program.

In Short

• Lead the FSHD program's medical strategy and tactical planning.
• Develop an integrated global medical affairs strategy.
• Facilitate phase 4 and real-world evidence generation efforts.
• Collaborate with clinical trial teams for site recruitment.
• Participate in cross-functional neuromuscular programs team(s).
• Plan and execute strategic working group sessions with healthcare providers.
• Support the inclusion of appropriate trial endpoints and outcome measures.
• Develop foundational materials for training regional and medical field teams.
• Ensure alignment of Medical Affairs activities with launch readiness.
• Represent Avidity at scientific and clinical congress meetings.

Requirements

• PharmD, PhD, or MD with experience in global medical affairs strategy.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience required.
• Experience in rare disease or specialty indications is required.
• Proven leadership and influence skills.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-service approach.
• Strong understanding of industry dynamics and Avidity’s value proposition.
• Ability to travel extensively.
