Overview

The Information Technology Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients through the automation, maintenance and development of information technology and automation, serving as the primary professional staff member in the Department of Pharmacy.

• Act as primary liaison between the Department of Pharmacy and healthcare professionals regarding pharmacy information technology.
• Evaluate, plan, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support projects.
• Analyze current and future needs through interviews and data gathering.
• Provide recommendations on hardware and software products for safety and efficiency.
• Lead project teams, assign tasks, and establish accountability.
• Meet and exceed customer expectations within project timelines.
• Participate in quality management programs to improve services.
• Maintain current industry knowledge and attend educational events.
• Support the development and maintenance of the hospital's electronic health record system.
• Perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Doctorate or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency (preferred).
• 5+ years experience in clinical pharmacy or 2 years in hospital pharmacy.
• 1+ years experience as an Information Technology Pharmacist.
• Licensed Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy within 120 Days.
• Willow Ambulatory Certification - Epic Systems Corporation (preferred).
• EPIC Willow Proficiency within 120 Days (preferred).
