Buyer / Purchasing Agent - Remote

Overview

The Buyer / Purchasing Agent will manage supplier relationships, analyze inventory needs, and negotiate purchases in a fast-paced distribution and wholesale environment.

In Short

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing within the distribution/wholesale industry required.
• Responsible for replenishing inventory using demand planning and Excel analysis.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and shipment methods with suppliers.
• Maintain profitable inventory levels across multiple locations.
• Evaluate and select new vendors to support business goals.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage obsolete inventory.
• Administer rebate programs and cost-down initiatives.
• Create and issue purchase orders.
• Strong Excel skills are a must.
• Hybrid work model available (3 days in office).

Requirements

• 3+ years of purchasing/buying experience in distribution or wholesale.
• Experience purchasing items in bulk.
• Strong understanding of optimal inventory levels.
• Experience reviewing 300+ parts/lines per week.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas).
