Purchasing Agent - Remote

Overview

The Purchasing Agent plays a crucial role in the Customer Service team at Merchology, responsible for communicating with suppliers and managing purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.

In Short

• Communicate with suppliers and issue purchase orders.
• Notify the Customer Service team of any order issues.
• Validate supplier order acknowledgments and pricing.
• Monitor open and past due purchase orders.
• Collaborate with accounting for payment and billing issues.
• Provide feedback to the Merchandising department about supplier performance.
• Complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree; experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Friendly, efficient, communicative, and collaborative.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• A sense of urgency with time-critical turnaround requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of Hubspot, Shopify, and Slack is a plus.
