Overview

The Solar Design Engineer will conduct residential solar designs remotely, ensuring efficient system layouts and collaborating with various teams to enhance project execution.

In Short

• Conduct residential solar design using OpenSolar.
• Perform rooftop analysis and prepare quotations.
• Input customer information into OpenSolar for designs.
• Analyze system performance and efficiency.
• Generate project bill of materials (BOM) and single line diagrams (SLDs).
• Perform switchgear/cable selection and voltage rise assessments.
• Utilize CAD software, e.g., AutoCAD, for design generation.
• Collaborate with the pricing team for accurate project costing.
• Maintain accurate records in the Job Management System.
• Stay updated on trends in solar design and renewable energy.
