Overview

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing and delivering accurate financial reporting for a portfolio of strata-managed properties. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience in strata or property accounting is highly regarded.

In Short

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned strata plans.
• Develop and maintain intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Enter annual budgets into relevant systems according to each strata plan’s financial requirements.
• Set up and manage opening balances and financial records for new properties.
• Prepare and post journals for accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Process and reconcile supplier invoices while ensuring compliance with strata budgets.
• Support audit readiness and ensure adherence to strata legislation and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with strata managers to interpret financial data.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in financial processes and systems.
• Recommend and implement improvements to reporting tools and workflows.
