Senior Payroll Tax Specialist (LATAM) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll taxes, compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and managing any payroll tax-related inquiries or issues.

In Short

• Ensure payroll taxes are accurately calculated, withheld, reported, and remitted.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Stay up to date with changing payroll tax regulations.
• Collaborate with HRIS and payroll teams for system maintenance.
• Address and resolve payroll tax discrepancies.
• Oversee timely deposit of payroll taxes.
• Partner with HR and Finance teams for accurate payroll data.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior payroll staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tax software.
• In-depth understanding of payroll tax laws.
• Exceptional accuracy in managing payroll data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CPP or similar certifications are a plus.
