Senior Back-End Engineer (AI) - Real Estate Software - Remote

Overview

The Senior Backend Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend systems that power mission-critical applications in the commercial real estate industry.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL).
• Integrate LLMs (Claude, GPT, etc.) into applications and developer workflows.
• Develop and maintain robust database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize services in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and code review practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around microservices and scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers in best practices and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backend frameworks such as Python, Java, Node.js, or .NET.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining APIs.
• Strong database expertise across relational and NoSQL systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate LLMs into applications.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with messaging/streaming platforms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of secure API design and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
