Overview

The Billing and Posting Resolution Advocate is responsible for overseeing claims production, billing, follow-up, collections, and compliance with third-party payer regulations, ensuring operational efficiency and optimizing reimbursement.

• Oversee claims production and billing processes.
• Manage and improve revenue cycle indicators.
• Provide operational oversight and mentorship to the Billing Coordinator.
• Maintain knowledge of hospital billing and government payer systems.
• Monitor denials and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
• Communicate potential claims issues to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Attend required meetings and stay updated on industry trends.
• Responsible for employee scheduling and time management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 3 years of previous hospital billing experience.
• Working knowledge of insurance regulations and automated billing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work through issues to resolution.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Preferred: 2 years Medicare hospital billing experience.
