Software Engineer II - React/Typescript, Java - Remote

Overview

Tripadvisor is looking for a mid-level developer / Software Engineer II to join our fast-moving Restaurants team. In this role, you will help us build, upgrade, and sustain our consumer-facing products, visited by hundreds of millions of travelers each month.

In Short

• Code! Release code to production every few days.
• Design and implement technical solutions for projects.
• Work closely with product and design teams.
• Be responsible for the quality of code.
• Provide feedback on best practices and design patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-4+ years of full life cycle development experience.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Full stack web development experience with JavaScript, React/Typescript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Opensearch.
• Willingness to take on new technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sense of ownership and pride in your work.
• Cloud Platform experience (AWS) desired.
