Overview

The Director of Quality Operations is responsible for linking customers, suppliers, and the quality assurance team in the aerospace sector, ensuring quality and operational excellence.

In Short

• Build and manage teams to support quality initiatives.
• Deploy teams to various suppliers in the US and internationally.
• Oversee quality system development and implementation.
• Participate in business development and contract negotiations.
• Lead training development across the organization.
• Utilize AS9145, root cause analysis, and other quality tools.
• Direct problem-solving initiatives within suppliers.
• Motivate and coach quality engineers and managers.
• Implement metrics for measuring quality effectiveness.
• Analyze statistical data to improve product quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of aerospace quality experience.
• Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, AS9145.
• Expertise in Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with FARs/DFARs.
• Knowledge of quality tools and standards.
• Valid auto insurance and ability to pass background checks.
• US citizenship required for certain contracts.
