Overview

This vital, patient-centered role provides education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options.

In Short

  • Provides education and guidance on health insurance to patients.
  • Helps patients understand their insurance options and make informed decisions.
  • Requires travel to DaVita clinics in Denver, CO.
  • 80% remote work, 20% travel based on patient needs.
  • Must build trust and rapport with patients and teammates.
  • Conducts insurance education while complying with established parameters.
  • Acts as a liaison between patients and various departments.
  • Completes insurance assessments for documentation purposes.
  • Involves monthly reporting and analysis on patient education metrics.
  • Participates in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with Medicare and Medicaid insurance preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills required, proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to squat, walk, and stand for more than 15 minutes.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 or a medical/religious exemption required.
