Overview

This vital, patient-centered role provides education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options.

In Short

  • Provide education and guidance on health insurance options.
  • Help patients navigate complicated insurance and employment decisions.
  • Travel required to DaVita clinics throughout Los Angeles, CA.
  • Build trust and rapport with patients and teammates.
  • Conduct patient insurance education sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient insurance status.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the billing office.
  • Complete insurance assessments for accurate documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Support with onboarding and training of new teammates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Office required.
  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 or exemption required.
  • Experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships with field partners.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
