Senior Analyst - Cyber Security - Remote

Overview

This role is a Senior Analyst member of the TransUnion Global Cyber Defense team, focusing on proactive monitoring and analysis of events across all TU environments.

In Short

• Participate in 24/7 SOC monitoring and response efforts.
• Analyze events and contribute to process enhancements.
• Support Compliance and Governance requests.
• Engage with multiple security teams and stakeholders.
• Work shifts that may include nights and weekends.
• Utilize investigative technologies like SIEM and packet capture analysis.
• Communicate effectively on cyber investigations.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn and perform effectively.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in SOC monitoring.
• Relevant certifications in cybersecurity.
• Experience with SIEM tools, preferably Splunk.
• Strong understanding of email security threats.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS security controls.
• Knowledge of network protocols such as DNS, HTTP, HTTPS/TLS, and SMTP.
• Ability to write playbooks and runbooks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear credit record required for some positions.
• Must reside in a fibre-ready home in South Africa.
