DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a full-time Automation Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a remote opportunity, open to candidates based in the United States within the Central or Pacific time zones.

In Short

Work Location: United States – Remote (Central or Pacific time zones)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; regular business hours
Engagement Model: Temporary employment; Full-time (40 hours/week)
Responsible for developing and maintaining automation tools
Manage database operations and perform media quality checks
Prepare lab environments for research studies
Ensure efficient file handling to support team workflows
Build and maintain Python scripts for automation and process optimization
Perform QA checks on video and audio files
Troubleshoot technical and process issues quickly

Requirements

Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
Strong experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
Familiarity with FFmpeg for media processing and conversion
Comfortable using the macOS terminal and writing shell scripts
Hands-on experience with AWS S3 for storage and data management
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
Working knowledge of iOS and Android platforms for testing
Experience with device setup, configuration, and testing
Ability to perform media quality assurance and manage large file sets
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process automation
