Overview

The Medical Absences Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing occupational health and safety files, as well as disability files, ensuring effective communication and administrative management.

In Short

  • Manage short-term and long-term disability files.
  • Coordinate with insurers and refer files for medical assessment.
  • Open files on work-related injuries with pan-Canadian bodies.
  • Act as a resource for employees absent for medical reasons.
  • Coordinate return-to-work processes.
  • Prepare files for hearings at the Tribunal administratif du travail.
  • Maintain and update KPI data for insurer performance.
  • Implement best practices in medical absence management.
  • Ensure computer management of files in the SAP system.
  • Responsible for absence management for specific employee groups.

Requirements

  • College diploma in business administration or equivalent.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with various software.
