Team Lead Transport & Export Operations - Remote

Overview

As a Team Lead in Transport & Export Operations, you will be responsible for the efficiency of goods transport and the smooth customs clearance of our products. You will actively participate in the export of products abroad and ensure that your team members perform their tasks efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

In Short

• Optimize transport processes focusing on long-distance transport and efficient use of vehicle capacities.
• Ensure smooth customs clearance in import and export, especially for goods traffic to and from the UK.
• Lead and support a team of transport employees, set clear goals, and oversee training and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations, customs regulations, and internal guidelines governing transport activities.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners such as suppliers and transport service providers to facilitate efficient (inter-)national goods traffic.

Requirements

• Completed training as a freight forwarding agent or a degree in supply chain management or a comparable qualification.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in customs and/or transport, ideally with experience in goods traffic to the UK.
• Familiarity with transport management systems and other relevant software applications.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and strong communication skills.
• Fluent in German and/or English.
