Overview

Merlin develops AI solutions for the public sector with the aim of fundamentally transforming governmental communication, processes, and services. Our vision: Merlin will be the leading provider of AI for municipalities and authorities.

In Short

  • You will develop features and prototypes in close collaboration with one of the co-founders, with a lot of responsibility and ownership.
  • You will implement requirements with minimal guidance, from the initial idea to the working code.
  • You will work with modern technologies such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, REST APIs, Docker, and relational databases.
  • You will utilize AI-assisted developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) as an integral part of your daily work to deliver consistently high output.
  • You will assist with the deployment and expansion of our software infrastructure.

Requirements

  • You are currently studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science / Artificial Intelligence, or a comparable technical field.
  • Experience from your own software projects (whether private, university, or practical) is important; you should have built and implemented things.
  • Solid knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs, Docker, Cloud Deployment, LLMs, and relational databases.
  • A hands-on mentality and willingness to learn: You take initiative, find solutions, and are not afraid to take on responsibility.
  • AI-first mindset: You naturally and efficiently use coding assistants.
