Software Engineer I, Backend (Payment) - Remote

Overview

The Payment team is responsible for ensuring smooth and reliable transactions across various payment modes for customers, focusing on optimizing user experience and operational efficiency.

In Short

• Build features from scratch or extend existing code using best practices.
• Collaborate with product and QA teams for timely project launches.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and technical debts.
• Document and communicate work effectively.
• Participate in peer code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or related field.
• Prior internship experience as a Software Engineer is a plus.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with RDBMS, including DDL and DML operations.
• Experience with Git, Java (JDK 8+), RDBMS, and basic VM and Docker usage.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Open-minded with a desire for continuous learning.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership in responsibilities.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
