Technical Writer - Caribbean (Remote)

Overview

The Technical Writer is responsible for documentation of procedures, creation of process flows and operating instructions, and the update/creation of forms to support the introduction of new or updated processes across the Bank.

In Short

• Work with scrum teams to understand product and documentation requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation for various audiences.
• Create software documentation through collaboration with experts.
• Convert complex technical documents into easily understandable language.
• Analyze existing content to improve and update documentation.
• Write user manuals and how-to guides for staff.
• Incorporate multimedia elements to aid understanding.
• Create and maintain information architecture.
• Ensure proper version control of documentation.
• Support projects and process reengineering requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, IT, computer science, or related fields.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technical writer in software development.
• 3-5 years of experience writing technical documents.
• Experience supporting or working with agile teams.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
• Familiarity with documentation and publishing software.
• Experience with RESTful API documentation.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Confluence, and Jira.
• Excellent English skills.
