Overview

The Building Inspector will enjoy the challenge of working on multiple projects ranging from single-family homes to multi-family complexes, ensuring adherence to building codes and standards.

• Perform daily field inspections for residential new construction.
• Interact with the public and explain technical information.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes.
• 3+ years of experience in code interpretation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• ICC Residential Inspector Certification required.
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification preferred.
• Education in Architecture, Engineering, or related field desired.
