Surety Consultant - Remote

Overview

The Surety Consultant will assist in evaluating construction claims, assessing project risks, and supporting surety providers in navigating complex challenges while modeling the company’s core values.

• Remote job with frequent travel to the greater Dallas, TX area.
• Assist in evaluating construction claims and assessing project risks.
• Support the success of the Surety group and manage project documentation.
• Perform construction project financial audits and evaluate contract claims.
• Prepare technical reports and conduct project schedule analysis.
• Travel required for project monitoring and management (up to 60% of billable time).
• Coordinate with team members and lead by example.
• Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project schedules.
• Work closely with project teams to assure successful project completion.
• Manage project documentation and submit timely reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management or claim management.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in standard software packages and project management tools.
• Ability to manage complex tasks and perform under pressure.
• Professional certifications (PE, RA, CDT, CCCA, or CCM) preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training (company provided).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic scheduling applications.
• Understanding of construction contract administration and CPM scheduling.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally.
