Copywriter - Remote

Overview

The Trevor Project is looking to hire a copyediting and copywriting specialist to unify our brand voice and create owned content for our audience of more than 2 million people. This role will be remote in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii, and involves working closely with the Marketing & Content department.

In Short

• Manage the drafting of copy across various platforms.
• Check internal and external communications for grammatical errors.
• Create educational resources and social-first promotional copy.
• Draft scripts for organic and paid social activations.
• Write blogs and online resources optimized for SEO.
• Develop brand voice and iterate based on data.
• Handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in copywriting and copyediting.
• Proficiency in LGBTQ+ topics and media discourse.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Content development skills including self-directed research.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Project management experience (familiarity with Asana preferred).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
