Overview

The States Project (TSP) is dedicated to enhancing the role of state legislatures in shaping policies that affect our lives. The Policy & Research Manager will be involved in significant policy research, writing, and analysis to support state lawmakers.

In Short

• Conduct policy research and drafting of resources.
• Evaluate new policy ideas aligning with America's Goals.
• Assess policies for public popularity and economic viability.
• Support lawmakers with rapid response research.
• Manage policy tracking and maintain the policy library.
• Engage with external partners for policy dissemination.

• Support public opinion polling related to policy development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in public policy or research.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong skills in policy research and legislative analysis.
• Experience with state legislative research.
• Passion for the organization's mission.
• Self-starter with high standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment.
