Overview

The Project is seeking an HIV Peer Navigator to support individuals living with HIV in the Quad Cities. This role involves providing guidance, emotional support, and assistance in accessing care and services.

In Short

  • Collaborate with medical case managers to support newly diagnosed clients.
  • Advocate for clients using community resources and lived experience.
  • Conduct outreach and testing services in community settings.
  • Help reduce stigma and isolation among clients.
  • Manage the TPQC HIV Support Group and referrals.
  • Full-time position with some remote work available.
  • Compensation starts at $19.61 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of living with HIV and related issues.
  • Lived experience with systemic oppression and non-dominant cultures.
  • Strong cultural awareness of communities affected by HIV.
  • Engagement in equity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Completion of relevant training within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle access.
