Audio Director - Remote

Overview

As Audio Director, you’ll play an essential role at The Merry Beggars, producing top-notch, exciting, and bold sound designs for our productions. You lead the team that takes our award-winning scripts and actors’ performances and surrounds with the sound design, effects, and music that moves our audience’s hearts.

In Short

• Leads and manages a team of 8+ audio engineer contractors, all working remotely
• Assigns post-production projects to team members
• Holds team accountable to quality standards and deadlines
• Coaches post-production team and ensures consistent improvement of all team members
• Meets with Audio Drama Directors and Post-Production team members on each series
• Ensure that sound visions and scripts communicate the audio drama director’s vision
• Guide audio drama directors on achieving their vision through sound design
• Ensure all final drafts meet or exceed quality standards
• Document, maintain and develop post-production process
• Manage Post-Production team contracts and oversee meetings

Requirements

• Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented
• Proven track record of team collaboration and clear communication
• Efficient project management of creative projects
• Experience in audio productions
• Ability to meet non-negotiable deadlines
• Experience in quality control and audience engagement analysis
• Familiarity with tools like Google Drive and Pibox
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Ability to collaborate with other departments
• Experience in onboarding and training team members
