Data Engineer (Genealogy) - Remote

Overview

The Lifetime Value Co. is looking for a Data Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that support genealogy data products. You will join a supportive team where your input matters and where we challenge each other to build better systems and processes every day.

In Short

• Join an established and collaborative data team as an individual contributor.
• Help build and maintain scalable, reusable pipelines to process large genealogy data sets.
• Analyze source data and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to expose data and services.
• Write production-ready code and follow good engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide support to internal teams.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of tools and workflows.
• Work with a variety of technologies and cloud services.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE prior experience in the genealogy industry.
• 4-5 years of experience using Python in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow.
• Experience working with Docker.
• Proficiency in Git and standard version control workflows.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Comfort with data formats like CSV and JSON.
• Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.
