Manager, Underwriting - Inventory Finance - Remote

Overview

The Manager, Underwriting – Inventory Finance is responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day underwriting activities for assigned portfolios to deliver timely adjudications for new customer credit lines, increase in credit lines for existing customers, and ongoing reviews.

In Short

• Manage and supervise underwriting analysts for timely decisions on credit line requests.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Managers and Sales for information procurement.
• Prepare credit write-ups and conduct financial statement analysis.
• Ensure adherence to Credit Policy and regulatory compliance.
• Engage as a subject matter expert in underwriting activities.
• Conduct periodic training for underwriting personnel.
• Review and recommend changes in credit authority for analysts.
• Manage technical training for staff in collaboration with other managers.
• Conduct periodic productivity reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Underwriting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8+ years of commercial credit underwriting and/or portfolio management experience.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of commercial financials.
• Knowledge of state and federal compliance regulations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in software programs including Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service orientation.
