Internal Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Internal Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of Flex Living. This role is critical to ensuring the financial integrity of our business, managing internal financial records, and optimising our accounting processes.

In Short

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS/local accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain internal financial controls to reduce risks.
• Manage expense tracking and employee reimbursements.
• Identify areas for efficiency improvements in accounting processes.
• Work with external auditors and tax consultants when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting.
• Experience working with remote teams.
• Proven track record in accounting software, strong knowledge of IFRS and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Accountant trained in GAAP, IFRS, and Xero/QuickBooks or equivalent.
