Transportation Development Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

The Transportation Development Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Transportation Development team, reviewing development applications for compliance with various transportation criteria and ordinances.

In Short

• Full-time position located at new City Hall.
• 2 days of remote work each week after six months.
• Occasional site visits may be required.
• Responsible for interpreting and applying transportation engineering policies.
• Review Traffic Impact Analysis for new development projects.
• Provide technical guidance related to transportation engineering.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders including management and developers.
• Monitor budgets and implement process improvements.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Must possess registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 5 years of engineering construction management experience.
• 2 years of administrative and supervisory experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in Texas required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of transportation design manuals.
• Experience in local government projects preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex processes effectively.
• Proficiency with traffic modeling software.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certification preferred.
