Overview

As a bookkeeper, you will be a significant member of the bookkeeping team, managing workflow, and ensuring high standards of client service.

• Oversee the bookkeeping workflow, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processes.
• Review and approve work completed by team members before submission to clients or senior management.
• Support the Client Finance Manager for complex client queries related to bookkeeping.
• Ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare accounts to trial balance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and process VAT returns.
• Stay updated with changes in bookkeeping practices, software, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement in processes and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero and Dext).
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
