Overview

The Mid-Level Contract Support Specialist will provide comprehensive acquisition support services for VA contracting activities, assisting with both pre-award and post-award procurement functions.

• Conduct comprehensive procurement support services for VA contracting.
• Assist with cradle-to-grave procurement functions.
• Perform market research and solicitation preparation.
• Monitor contractor performance and manage contract modifications.
• Apply knowledge of FAR and VAAR for compliance.
• Develop procurement packages and analyze cost/price data.
• Prepare Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Coordinate with stakeholders and Contracting Officers.
• Conduct research and provide business advice.
• Support contract performance monitoring and administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 24 semester hours in a related field.
• Minimum of three years of acquisition support experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and VAAR.
• Ability to review procurement documents for accuracy.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to draft contract modifications and documentation.
• Experience with contract performance monitoring.
• Strong communication skills to resolve inconsistencies.
• Ability to work remotely.
