Senior Product Manager, Investigation & Troubleshooting - Remote

Overview

As Senior Product Manager, Investigation & Troubleshooting, you will own the diagnostic experience for Temporal users when things are not working as expected. You will define how developers debug workflows, trace execution across the distributed system, and integrate with their observability stack. This is high-leverage work: reducing mean-time-to-resolution directly impacts customer trust and developer productivity.

• Own the roadmap for workflow debugging and diagnostic tooling.
• Drive distributed tracing strategy for customer workflows.
• Define and evolve APM integrations for observability.
• Lead AI-assisted diagnostics initiatives.
• Partner with SDK teams to enhance debugging context.
• Build the experience for understanding workflow failures.
• Collaborate with customers on incident response workflows.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in observability systems and debugging tools.
• Experience in APM/observability platforms.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and distributed systems.
• Proven track record in developer-facing diagnostic tooling.
• Experience with AI/ML applications in observability is a plus.
• Strong technical communication skills.
