Senior Java Developer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join one of our clients' teams with a 6 months contract, with the possibility to extend. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow in an innovative environment.

In Short

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Optimize performance and ensure high availability of backend components.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments.
• Participate in AWS infrastructure optimization and implementation.
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with German-speaking stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
• Work closely with DevOps/Cloud teams to ensure smooth CI/CD processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial experience with Java.
• Strong expertise with Spring/Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs.
• Solid background in cloud-native development with AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps workflows.
• German – C1 level (mandatory).
• English – B2 level (for internal collaboration).
• Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
• Experience working in agile/Scrum environments.
