Associate, Construction Project Management - Remote

Overview

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Construction Project Management to join TR's Long Term Recovery team! The Associate will plan and coordinate Team Rubicon’s construction activities across the United States by leveraging licensed contractors and skilled tradesmen. This will require excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across functional teams, strong organizational skills to track multiple simultaneous projects, knowledge of construction methods and materials, and the technical skills to comfortably use the tools and software utilized by Team Rubicon.

In Short

• Plan and oversee all activities related to achieving building production goals.
• Manage project costs and monitor trends.
• Manage sub-contracted work, including solicitation of bids and quality control.
• Provide periodic project site visits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Generate and foster relationships with contractors.
• Apply for, manage, and ensure closeout of necessary building permits.
• Effectively communicate progress towards project completion.
• Demonstrate success in working in matrix-managed environments.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be comfortable on construction sites.
• Position requires up to 50% travel.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in project management or business operations, preferably in residential construction.
• 1-3 years of experience in relationship management.
• Experience with residential construction and ability to perform construction-related tasks.
• Knowledge of residential building codes and permitting processes.
• Working knowledge of Critical Path Scheduling methods.
• Experience working with local community recovery efforts is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in matrix-managed environments.
