Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Security Engineer (IAM) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Cloud Cybersecurity (CCS) Security Engineer (IAM) will collaborate with Detection, Security, and Software Engineers to build, operate, and defend Tanium Cloud's Identity and Access Management (IAM) in AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes cloud hosting services. You will be an integral part of the Tanium Cloud security engineering for IAM, responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of preventative and detective controls to identify, assess, and counter risks and threats before impacting Tanium Cloud.

In Short

• Build and operate Tanium Cloud's IAM in Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Design and implement security strategy and controls.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance IAM security measures.
• Characterize unauthorized activity and malicious behaviors.
• Develop tailored IAM detections and enforcement policies.
• Stay updated with IAM security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customers.
• Be on periodic on-call for critical alerts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in cloud security.
• 5+ years in building and operating cloud-based IAM.
• 3+ years securing Kubernetes clusters.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with SAML2, OAuth2, and OIDC.
• Experience in detection engineering methodologies.
• Experience using security query tools for data analysis.
• Build and improve IAM security playbooks.
• Solid understanding of modern attacker tactics.
