In Short

• We are seeking a part-time Sr. Medical Epidemiologist Consultant.
• Support surveillance, research, and outbreak preparedness for federal customers.
• Perform epidemiologic studies and manage epidemiologic data.
• Remote position based in the USA, preferably Atlanta, GA.
• Provide input in scientific planning and analysis of research studies.
• Generate new hypotheses and develop strategies for data use.
• Advocate evidence-based policies and public health actions.
• Lead medical and epidemiological activities targeting public health issues.
• Respond to outbreaks with epidemiologic support.
• Consult on methods in various research activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a clinician or medical officer in the US Public Health Service.
• 3+ years conducting epidemiologic research.
• 3+ years of program management experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective organization and communication skills.
• Experience with federal government agencies is a plus.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Doctor of Medicine required; additional degrees in Public Health/Epidemiology a plus.
• May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
