Community Engagement Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Title 1 Community Engagement Specialist provides a range of school-wide services to new and returning students and their families to help set the right tone for their academic success in the virtual school program.

In Short

• Full-time remote position.
• Works with all student support roles.
• Facilitates academic engagement and communication between parents, teachers, and support staff.
• Manages Strong Start process for new students and Learning Coaches.
• Develops and facilitates Learning Coach education programs.
• Provides online parent enrichment trainings.
• Supports state and local standardized testing processes.
• Serves as the school’s social media manager.
• Collaborates with school leadership to improve communication.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and experience in a similar capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Two years of experience working with families.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Familiarity with online learning environments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• Three years of experience preferred.
• Master's degree desirable.
