Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making.

In Short

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Develop and implement internal controls for financial reporting.
• Assist with ERP system improvements and maintenance.
• Support the audit process with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting.
• Mentor and review the work of accounting team members.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Optimize accounting systems for smooth operations.
• Provide actionable insights from financial data.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GAAP and its application.
• Experience with accounting software platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of designing internal controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Prior audit experience, Big 4 preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
