Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Sr. Accountant will prepare various financial reports and maintain the general ledger system according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), while recommending methods to improve accounting processes.

In Short

• Reviews and verifies journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepares standard financial reports such as balance sheets.
• Checks items for accuracy including journal vouchers and billing.
• Conducts special studies and makes recommendations on accounting procedures.
• May assign work to accounting assistants and monitor deadlines.
• Coordinates accounting information with other departments.
• May back-up Inventory AP 3-way match and invoice processing.
• May process expense invoices and accounts payable reconciliation.
• Researches accounts receivable invoices for corrections.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting roles.
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting software.
• Skill in preparing reports and maintaining effective relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
