Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

This position supports all accounting-related activities, projects, analysis, and conversions for an assigned area outside Finance, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial reporting.

In Short

• Support monthly closing of the general ledger.
• Analyze account fluctuations and reporting.
• Champion variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Review accounting transaction documentation for accuracy.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced personnel.
• Improve and implement accounting processes.
• Support integration of acquired portfolios to the general ledger.
• Conduct technical accounting research and analysis.
• Participate in special projects related to accounting and reporting.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years accounting or audit experience.
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in process improvement methodology.
• Master's degree or CPA preferred.
• Experience in bank operations accounting preferred.
