Overview

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements while collaborating with various teams to ensure proper financial practices.

In Short

• Prepare monthly analysis and accrual entries for trade spend activity.
• Create journal entries for various accounts.
• Review P&L for trends and necessary adjustments.
• Prepare accurate account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales for monthly accruals.
• Maintain a database of company contracts.
• Facilitate new vendor setup.
• Participate in month-end close and audits.
• Ensure internal control procedures are met.
• Drive process improvements within the department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in auditing or accounting.
• Experience in accounting for trade spend.
• CPA is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and professional platforms.
