Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Brightspeed, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the External Financial Reporting function for a growing telecommunications company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

In Short

• Support reporting obligations and ensure timely submission of all required financial reports.
• Prepare and/or review various financial statement components.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to validate and ensure accuracy of financial reporting data.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for financial reporting.
• Proactively identify and communicate issues and improvement opportunities.
• Stay current on GAAP requirements and implement necessary changes.
• Provide support to technology teams and external consultants.
• Partner with auditors to facilitate audits and report on audit statuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance discipline.
• CPA required.
• 5+ years of relevant Accounting and Financial Reporting experience.
• Strong communication, planning, and project management skills.
• Public accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting guidance.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Computer literacy in applications like Excel and Word.
• Adaptable to changing business environments.
