Overview

Astronomer is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our Finance Organization, focusing on best practices for employees and suppliers while assisting with monthly and yearly close processes.

In Short

• Assist with monthly general ledger close and management reporting.
• Ensure tax compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage VAT compliance with international tax advisors.
• Prepare information for annual Insurance renewal.
• Oversee adherence to company travel and expense policies.
• Ensure accuracy of month-end expense accruals.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting.

Requirements

• 3-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA preferred).
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline-driven with attention to detail.
