Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We're building our Finance team and currently seeking an Accountant (Senior Staff - Senior level) to join our team. In this role, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial records and providing insights that contribute to the financial stability and growth of our company. As our second finance hire, you will have the unique opportunity to help develop and execute the accounting function’s vision, strategy, and priorities as our Company continues to scale. This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager.

In Short

• Assist in the design and management of financial accounting processes.
• Perform bookkeeping, monthly close activities, and reconciliation processes.
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including billing, accounts payable, payroll, and reporting.
• Review customer contracts and manage deferred revenue balances.
• Create standard operating procedures and strengthen controls around accounting operations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Identify areas for operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms on audits and tax returns.
• Support ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent training.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
• Experience with third-party financial audits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
