Overview

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization by analyzing and optimizing all aspects of the revenue cycle.

In Short

• Collect, compile, and analyze data related to the entire revenue cycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive reports to track key performance indicators.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Compile month end close data in collaboration with finance.
• Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the revenue cycle process.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement process improvements.
• Analyze denial trends and work with billing and coding teams.
• Develop and track strategies to minimize denials.
• Assist in the evaluation and optimization of revenue cycle-related software.
• Participate in projects related to revenue cycle improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and billing software.
• Able to code in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes.
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
