Finance Director (12-month W2 Contract) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to take ownership of our finance function, managing our outsourced provider while shaping long-term financial strategy. The ideal candidate will bring proven a strong FP&A background, M&A expertise, and the ability to act as a trusted partner to the leadership team and Board.

• Oversee financial strategy, planning, and decision-making.
• Manage the relationship with the outsourced finance provider.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and performance tracking.
• Lead all financial aspects of acquisitions and investments.
• Ensure strong governance, internal controls, and compliance.
• Act as the key financial partner to the leadership team and Board.
• Oversee working capital, liquidity, funding needs, and capital structure.
• Build and manage an internal finance capability over time.

Requirements

• Experience at Director or senior finance leadership level.
• Prior responsibility for managing outsourced finance providers.
• Strong capability in budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven track record in leading and executing M&A deals.
• Direct exposure to both UK and US financial operations.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and corporate finance.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to scale financial processes and systems.
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
