Accountant - Remote

Overview

Tala is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Accountant to manage in-country records and accounting operations, contributing to its mission of providing financial services to emerging markets.

In Short

• Assist Controller with all aspects of Tala’s accounting department.
• Maintain effective processes for timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Follow corporate policies for invoice processing and cash management.
• Design and manage internal accounting practices for compliance.
• Implement processes for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Produce all financial information accurately and timely.
• Handle ad hoc projects as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field.
• 5+ years experience in the accounting and finance sector.
• Public accounting experience - Big 4 preferred.
• Chartered Accountant.
• Experience with IFRS and GAAP reporting.
• Experience working with Banks, NBFCs, RBI, and financial regulators.
• Conscientious about timeliness and quality of work.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional work ethic.
